I’m keeping an eye on you!
A photographer in Zambia took the picture I used to start this big guy. The image is 24” wide x 36” high, in graphite on clayboard.
Once sealed, this can be framed without glass, so the minute details don’t get lost in a reflection or glare. Working this big is fun and, sometimes, frustrating.
I have to start in the middle and work outward, turning the board as I go - so I’m often drawing upside down or sideways. The piece took over 100 hours to finish.
$3400. including freight, plus applicable taxes.
