White Tiger Studio and Pamela Baldwin are well known for beautiful commissioned portraits of animals. Whether your friend is large or small, furred or feathered, Pamela Baldwin will capture a moment in time that will last forever. Artist Pamela Baldwin works out of central North Carolina, and accepts commissions worldwide.
The Portrait Process
We prefer to work from photographs we have taken, with a final visit to the studio or to the animal to confirm that the personality has been properly rendered. This process allows us to accurately portray the animal and to guarantee our work.
The time to take photos and to meet the subject are included in the pricing. Travel beyond the Triangle (central NC including the Raleigh, Durham, Cary area) may be billed as a reimbursable expense.
If the animal is not available for photos, please collect as many photos as you can find to help show the personality of the animal, and tell us what nod of the head or flip of the tail is important to you. If you seek generic images of a specific breed, please contact White Tiger Studio for pricing.
We work around deadlines for special occasions whenever possible. Just let us know.
Lead times, from receipt of photographs: Graphite — usually 2 weeks; Gouache — usually 1 month; and Oil—usually 3 months.
Samples of works portraying dogs, cats, horses, birds, butterflies, monkeys, elephants, zebras, giraffes etc. are available at the studio. Please call for an appointment.
